Reminded of the Evil

It's been almost 2 years since Savior lived through that hellish night of being thrown from the window of a speeding truck after having been fought, starved, abused, and neglected...it's been almost 2 years since that glorious night Savior was rescued, set on the path to recovery, and placed in a home that would forever shower her with the best life had to offer...today, however, she, we, were reminded that the effects of evil may be long lasting, but will never, ever prevail...
 
Three months ago, Savior started having issues with her breathing..she also started having bleeding from her nose and mouth each time she sneezed...the sneezing became more common and frequent, thus the pain and bleeding...only with a $2,000 rhinoscopy would the problem be diagnosed...that gift was donated today by Dr. Bayliss...upon examination, a bullet the size of a dime was discovered lodged within her delicate sinus cavity...the sharp, cutting edge was deep within the soft tissue...the bullet, three times the size of the area in which it was lodged, was piercing her sinus tissue with every sneeze, every wrong move...the bullet that was supposed to end her life had migrated to this most sensitive area...after 2 1/2 painstaking hours, Dr. Bayliss removed the heavy, sharp, metal bullet...a final reminder of  the pain and trauma that once plagued this special girl...she's better now, she's sleeping soundly now, she is pain free now...I'm more determined now.... to make sure this world is a better, kinder, more humane place in which to live....
